HELP HORROR ASCEND
A Town That Shouldn’t Exist is a micro-budget independent horror feature shooting in Connecticut summer of 2025. The directorial debut of writer/director Spencer Desmond. The film is being shot on 16mm Kodak Vision3 film stock with an original score and select soundtrack from independent music acts. All practical effects and everything shot in frame.

Every dollar donated goes towards elevating the existing gore effects, extra film stock/process/scan fees, and feeding the cast and crew. With practical effects on a micro-budget almost every gore gag is a “one chance to get the shot” setup. We don’t have the budget to continuously reset like a bigger production would, so any donations help the film immensely.
